We support the software, not your conversations. If something breaks, you can share diagnostic logs (which contain no conversation data) or describe the issue. We never need to see your actual messages to fix a technical problem.
If you used our encrypted cross-device sync, your data can be recovered on a new device with your passphrase. If you did not sync, the data is gone — because we genuinely do not have it. This is the trade-off of true privacy, and we believe it is worth it.
